I have been meaning to write this post for so long, I’m so happy I am finally getting round to doing it!
I may as well start as I mean to go on. This blush is AMAZING, and if you haven’t tried it yet, you need to go buy it now (as soon as you have finished reading my blog obviously!!). I can genuinely say that since I have bought these blushes, I have not picked up a single one of the others in my collection. Yes, they are that good.
I first heard about them when I was watching Sam Chapman (of Pixiwoos) on her You Tube channel. I had noticed that her skin looked so healthy and glowy recently, and I needed some of that in my life! Anyway, long story short, she said it was down to Daniel Sandler’s Watercolour Liquid Blush in the colour Rose Glow. I was sold.
Rose Glow was a little hard to find, so I decided to go directly to Daniel’s website; and I’m so glad I did. Firstly, because they have provided in-depth descriptions about each of the colours they sell, which I find really helpful because you can’t always tell exactly what colour you’re getting when looking at it on the screen. They also tell you which of their colours they recommend for each skin tone – brilliant!! Secondly, and I found this most impressive, for £2 you can buy a tester pot of any colour. How good is that?! So if you are looking to buy these blushes, make sure you check out his website first.
They arrived in a cute make up bag which is perfect for storing make up/brushes when travelling. I ordered a full size Rose Glow, and the tester size of So Pretty. Even though the tester pot looks tiny, a very little amount of this blush goes a long way so I think it’s more than worth the £2.
The colours are both so beautiful, and have the perfect amount of shimmer in them to give you that healthy glow. There’s nothing worse than putting a blush on and ending up looking like a glittery disco ball!
As I said before, a little of this goes a long way, so you only need 1 or 2 drops at the most per cheek. Then just blend in with a soft bristle brush (you can buy this brush made specifically for applying the Watercolour Blushes) which I think will be next on my shopping list! Or alternatively you can use your finger. It honestly blends like a dream, and obviously if you are going for a bolder look, it is completely buildable too.
A bonus to the these blushes being watercolour based is that they have great staying power, so they really do last all day long. Usually my blush is the first thing to disappear, but when I come to take my make up off at the end of the day, my cheeks look as good as they did when I first applied it.
I also wanted to mention that my cheeks can sometimes be a little sensitive. By the time I have put primer, CC cream and bronzer on my face, my cheeks can feel a little sore when I put my blush on top of it. But I haven’t had any sensitivity at all with these watercolour blushes, and if anything the liquid has an almost cooling effect.
My favourite colour out of the two is definitely Rose Glow, although So Pretty is absolutely lovely too – just slightly deeper in colour. I love the fact that Rose Glow makes you look as though you just have a healthy natural flush to your skin, as opposed to looking like you are wearing make up.
The cost of the full 15ml bottle is £16.50, and although some people may see that as being a little expensive for a blush, this will last you forever! When you see the small amount you need, I promise you it is worth it!
I cannot recommend Daniel Sandler’s Watercolour blushes enough to you, I feel we all need to spread the word about these amazing blushes!! I will 100% be purchasing some more shades, along with the brush very shortly……I just have to decide which colours to choose!
Let me know in the comments if you decide to buy one, I’d love to hear which colours you get and what you think of them!
Thanks for stopping by!
