Holly & Wayne Hometown Barn Wedding

Holly contacted me for information about photographing her wedding last year.  I knew it was going to be at her parents farm, but I had no idea the details and the time she had put into it.  We arrived and I was instantly blown away.  She left no detail unturned.  It was clear that she'd be planning for months... years!  Her parents purchased the farm last year, and tore down one barn, and fixed up some of the others.  Most of the wood signs you see from the wedding are made from the barn that they tore down.  Absolutely love how they all turned out!

Congratulations you two, Your day was perfect (even with the rain ;-) ) I'm so glad I was able to capture your day, your love and all of the details that went went it!

Brace yourself for a long blog post full of images.  Full.  I adored this wedding, and all of the photos so it was so hard for me to choose for this post.  I may have gone overboard :)

Drew & Jen's Elegant Country Wedding {Circleville, Ohio}

These two!  Ahh, they were a joy to work with!  I've known Drew since we were in elementary school.  Grew up doing 4H, Fair, he played basketball, I cheered, school trips, friend get togethers.. so when Jen contacted me about photographing their wedding, I was oh so excited to do it.  Their wedding took place at a small church close to Circleville.  Their reception was held at their country house in Circleville.  Drew works full time, but in the winter and his spare time he remodels houses.  The location of the reception was the one he is working on to be their home.  The property was amazing, the house was gorgeous and the barns were just as awesome.  Jen was chilled and ready to see her groom at the alter, Drew was nervous and anxious to see her walking down the aisle.  The ceremony was perfect, and then we were off to do photos of their bridal party and the two of them.  To watch the two of them interact was so refreshing.  They're so in love and it shows.  They giggled, hugged, smiled and just laughed the entire time.  Congratulations again Drew & Jen, I'm so glad I was able to document the day for you.  I wish you many, many years of happiness, love and LAUGHTER.

Just a little behind the scenes.  You know I love ring shots :)

Chris & Kayleigh's Rainy June Wedding

A wedding on a Saturday in June.  You'd expect a hot summer day, right?  No we had a rainy day.  A LOT of rain.  I arrived at Chris & Kayleigh's wedding (and reception) location.  It was being held on a family friend's property in Grove City, Ohio.  BEAUTIFUL.  Green grass for days and trees and tress.  A photographers dream.  Only the rain had other plans for us.  Kayleigh was chill, and not worried about the day and the plan.  Afterall that's what they had a tent for.  We came up with a plan B for their first look and bridal party photos and went with it.  The rain stopped about an hour before the ceremony.  It was perfect timing.  Enough time to clean up, regroup and start on time.  I met these two last year, through a mutual friend.  They're both sweet as pie and I was so excited for their big day.  I knew Kayleigh had worked so hard on the detils and I couldn't wait to see them all come together.

Her dress was seriously one of my favorites of all time.  Absolutley amazing.

Kayleigh had this ladder at the front of the ceremony site as a surprise to Chris.  One of Chris' buddies (Kevin) passed away a few months ago and these were all things honoring him!  It was beautiful.  More on this later!

I probably hear the song "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks every wedding I photograph.  But this wedding brought a whole new memory to the song for me.  Kevin's (Chris' buddy who had passed away)  parents were there and they danced with Chris, Kayleigh and all their friends to this song.  All the while hugging mom & dad and remembering Kevin.  I'm pretty sure we all had tears!

 The day was perfect!  Congratulations again you two.  I'm so glad I was there to capture it all for you.  I wish you many, many years of happiness <3

Jacob & Kelly Maternity Session {Dublin, Ohio}

I love this couple.  Kelly contacted me MONTHS ago when we had just found out she was expecting.  No one knew expect her husband. This little bundle of joy is a huge blessing for them.  They've been praying for this baby for some time now and Kelly wanted to announce it in a special way to their family.  We arranged a family photoshoot in which we'd be photographing the whole family, and then she would announce it in the middle of the session.  It turned out a little something like this....

It was awesome!  Fast forward several weeks and it was time to do the gender reveal.  It went beautifully.  Their family was as thrilled as they were to find out they were expecting a BOY!

Guess what time it is now... Maternity session time!  She is simply gorgeous! We visited downtown Dublin in the evening and the lighting was perfect.

We changed locations and Kelly changed her outfit.  She was so nervous about this, but I'm so glad we did it.  They turned out stunning.  Pregnancy looks good on you Kelly :)

Kelly is now 38+ weeks and they are so anxiously waiting the arrival of their sweet boy!  I cannot wait to meet him Kelly & Jacob.  I've been so honored to be such a big part of your beautiful journey.  You two are the sweetest and I couldn't be happier for you.

Isaac turns TWO!

If you follow me on instagram you probably remember this shot as a quick little sneak peek from my session last week.  And if you don't follow me, you should ;-) Here.

Meet Isaac!  He's turning two. And he was so much fun.  We hung out and he was so easy going..and SO well dressed.

I seriously love this black and white photo.

Who doesn't love a good Scrunchy nose photo :)

A huge thank you to Zassy's Treasures and Design for renting us use her property for this session! We had a beautiful night for it, and it was perfect.

So Isaac was great the entire session, but he's two...and we all know how two year old's can be with photos.  In the middle of the session an airplane flew over. He was in love.  THEN we got lucky.  Every 5-7 minutes another would fly over.  He was so so happy.  He did whatever I asked in between airplanes because he was patiently waiting.  It was perfect :)

I leave you with a feet photo.  Imagine that :)  Happy Weekend everyone!
