Clayton & Kristen's Backyard Wedding!

Clayton and Kristen were married on September 17th, 2016.  The weather was iffy, it rained here and there but it didn't last long and the sky's were blue.  They were set to be married on Clayton's mom's property.  It was BEAUTIFUL.  Their ceremony site was nestled back in the trees, and their tents were perfectly placed behind the ceremony location.  One tent for tables and one tent for dinner and dancing--complete with a custom made black and white dance floor to match their colors.  She ordered her dress online, he wore his dad's ring, she wore moms earrings.  My favorite kind of personal touches!

Sometimes you just need a moment before you walk down the aisle...

Or maybe two moments <3

Dad making sure the sky is clear!

Kristen has a bakery business.  She made all the cupcakes and cake pops!  I told her she was crazy to do that for her own wedding, but they turned out amazing...and they tasted just as great!

I say it all the time...as photographers we aren't there to snap photos of your day.  We're there to make sure your day is perfect.  I've tied bows, fixed hair, helped Grandmas walk, held flowers, dried flowers, and bustled SO MANY dresses.  This time I sewed Kristen's dress. :)

Kristen & Clayton, thank you so much to the both of you for letting us be a part of your (beautiful) day.  I hope you cherish these memories forever.  I wish you nothing but the best and I can't wait to see your love grow through the years! <3

Jacqueline & Matt are Married! (Akron Ohio Backyard Wedding)

Jacqueline and I have been been long time social media friends.  I've supported her small business (see it here) and met her to buy cute headbands and accessories from her!  She moved from Columbus to Akron to live with Matt and pursue their relationship.  They got engaged and I was over the moon when she asked me to photograph their wedding!    They had their day set for September 3rd, 2016.  Their ceremony was held at an adorable gazebo right on the water, followed by a reception with their friends and family at their home.  They did such a great job with all of the details, from this cute sign in their entry way, the ice cream, to the kids table...it was all perfect!

She walked all the way down the aisle with her face hidden hahaha.

Congratulations again Jacqueline & Matt.  Thank you for having us be a part of your big day!  You two are both gorgeous and I'm so excited for your future together! <3

Holly & Wayne Hometown Barn Wedding

Holly contacted me for information about photographing her wedding last year.  I knew it was going to be at her parents farm, but I had no idea the details and the time she had put into it.  We arrived and I was instantly blown away.  She left no detail unturned.  It was clear that she'd be planning for months... years!  Her parents purchased the farm last year, and tore down one barn, and fixed up some of the others.  Most of the wood signs you see from the wedding are made from the barn that they tore down.  Absolutely love how they all turned out!

Congratulations you two, Your day was perfect (even with the rain ;-) ) I'm so glad I was able to capture your day, your love and all of the details that went went it!

Brace yourself for a long blog post full of images.  Full.  I adored this wedding, and all of the photos so it was so hard for me to choose for this post.  I may have gone overboard :)

Chris & Kayleigh's Rainy June Wedding

A wedding on a Saturday in June.  You'd expect a hot summer day, right?  No we had a rainy day.  A LOT of rain.  I arrived at Chris & Kayleigh's wedding (and reception) location.  It was being held on a family friend's property in Grove City, Ohio.  BEAUTIFUL.  Green grass for days and trees and tress.  A photographers dream.  Only the rain had other plans for us.  Kayleigh was chill, and not worried about the day and the plan.  Afterall that's what they had a tent for.  We came up with a plan B for their first look and bridal party photos and went with it.  The rain stopped about an hour before the ceremony.  It was perfect timing.  Enough time to clean up, regroup and start on time.  I met these two last year, through a mutual friend.  They're both sweet as pie and I was so excited for their big day.  I knew Kayleigh had worked so hard on the detils and I couldn't wait to see them all come together.

Her dress was seriously one of my favorites of all time.  Absolutley amazing.

Kayleigh had this ladder at the front of the ceremony site as a surprise to Chris.  One of Chris' buddies (Kevin) passed away a few months ago and these were all things honoring him!  It was beautiful.  More on this later!

I probably hear the song "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks every wedding I photograph.  But this wedding brought a whole new memory to the song for me.  Kevin's (Chris' buddy who had passed away)  parents were there and they danced with Chris, Kayleigh and all their friends to this song.  All the while hugging mom & dad and remembering Kevin.  I'm pretty sure we all had tears!

The day was perfect!  Congratulations again you two.  I'm so glad I was there to capture it all for you.  I wish you many, many years of happiness <3
